I’m trying to sort out if me sitting in this chair for the past week working on the show and pics was a good thing or not. From what I can tell, no preparation is enough preparation for India. But I’ve barely picked up the book. My friend Vanessa showed me her form of shots she got before heading over there and I looked at it if it was written in Vietnamese. I mean, it was, but regardless, I should still be - at least - aware, no?
I drunkenly picked up Nym’s picture book of the place last night. And plan on looking through it tonight as well. But that’s not really prep, is it? Or maybe it is. Maybe no prep is the best prep. I have general idea of where I’d like to go. But God seems to get his kicks out of when I plan, so I’ll refrain.
I am excited, though. Before this SE Asia trip, I talked to many folk who had been all over, so it seemed…easy, in a sense. But India.
We shall see - I’m keen on getting feedback on the shows, to be honest, I did them for 2 reasons:
1. I miss doing something, doesn’t matter what it is. Just…Contributing. Archiving.
2. It gives a visual to some of the things I’ve seen. Let’s be honest, crazy/dreaded/naked guy is much better seen
…oh, I’m rambling. One meal today out of both poverty and procrastination. Am going to try and go veggie over there. At least until I get sick and then I might as well eat everything.
From what I’ve heard, India is brilliant after you get out.
We shall see.
So long, Bangkok. I do like you.
